Double Room with Shared Bathroom

Residents entering Sunset Lodge can choose to pay for their accommodation by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both.  A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.

Pricing for this room is as follows:

Description of quality, condition and amenity of the room:
The double room is of high quality, heated, spacious and light filled with a large window.  The room has a comfortable bed, bedside table, a chair and a built-in wardrobe for each resident.  The room has vinyl flooring with brick walls and is well maintained. The en suite is large, approximately 6 sqm, well-ventilated, and has good lighting.  The room has a view into the landscaped gardens and access

Room size:
The double room is approximately 19 sqm.

Description of quality, condition, size and amenity of common areas to which a resident living in this room would have access:
The common areas include an open-plan dining area (75 sqm) that can cater for all residents including accessibility for those with mobility aids.  Tables seat four in a comfortable, well-lit ambient environment.  The dining area has brick walls and vinyl floors that are in very good condition and have views of the well-established gardens.  There is one lounge room, approximately 26 sqm, that is well maintained with vinyl floors, brick walls and views to an internal courtyard.  The area also has a large flat screen TV, a range of comfortable seating and provides a relaxing space for residents.   The recreation room is large (approximately 60 sqm), light and airy.  It has views to the gazebo and beautiful well-established gardens and faces the main street of Taralga.    It also provides a space for residents and/or their families to gather.

Phillip R H Chalker Sunset Lodge is located in the central business area of the rural village of Taralga. Shops and other facilities are easily accessible.   The entrance features a canopied drop-off and pick-up area for the safety of all residents.  Wide corridors allow for residents to easily access all areas of the facility.  Windows are fitted with vertical blinds for privacy.  The secure outdoor garden areas are well established and maintained with walking tracks, outdoor seating, two internal courtyards, a gazebo and bbq area.  For visitors, tea/coffee making facilities are provided and there is access to bathroom amenities (including a disabled toilet).

Phillip R H Chalker Sunset Lodge also provides:  a small library; activities program; regular visiting entertainers; visiting church services; and a room available for family celebrations.

All rooms have telephone access which is available to residents at their cost.  Newspaper delivery can also be arranged.  Phillip R H Chalker Sunset Lodge has a designated hairdressing booth where  local hairdressers can provide services to residents onsite.
